What are conflict resolution services?
Conflict resolution services offer parties a variety of means for resolving disputes or facilitating difficult issues. These include advocacy, arbitration, coaching, facilitation, mediation, binding mediation (med-arb) and/or wiseperson process. All these methods rely on conversations facilitated by a third party. In all forms, the parties have the opportunity to present their point of view and relevant information. These methods can provide a permanent solution without going to court, and depending on the type of method used, that solution can be achieved at one meeting or hearing.

About the mediator
Stefanie Beninato is a mediator and lawyer in the state of New Mexico. Beninato has hundreds of hours of training including divorce, victim-offender, probate, environmental and parent-teen training. She has mediated hundreds of cases, both privately and through courts and public agencies. Beninato also provides policy and meeting facilitation, and management and
communication training.

Types of cases with which she is familiar include teen offenders, family, divorce, real estate contracts, workplace/EEOC, construction contracts, general contracts, landlord-tenant and neighbor problems.

Beninato also has a Ph.D. in history, which she feels gives her a perspective on the importance of mediation, as well as a law degree which reinforces her belief in it’s efficacy.
